The Mervaqoe™ Oversized Linen Shirt is made from 100% European flax linen that has been washed after weaving, which breaks the fibres down before you ever wear it. The result is a shirt that is soft on the first wear and gets noticeably softer every time it goes through the machine — by the end of a season it drapes like something you have owned for years.

The reason to wear linen is thermoregulation, and it is not a marketing claim. Flax fibres move moisture away from the skin and release it quickly, which is why linen feels several degrees cooler than cotton of the same weight in direct sun.
